Just came across this wylo 35 build for sale in Wellington, NZ. Asking NZD $12,000. She's a gaff rigged 35 foot centerboarder (3' 3" draft). She has tan bark sails and an engine included. Probably be better than building a deep sea steely from scratch, would save years and allot of work.
NZ is the birthplace of Nick's original wylo2 design, and there are quite a few other wyloers, gaffers and talented classic boatbuilders/sailers around, who are concentrated into several areas (Northland, Auckland, ?Nelson sounds) . Travelling/trucking distances are not as great like here in Australia, which should mean less time/money to get about.
